When the fan reaches the predetermined speed, the capacitor is taken out of the circuit and will again be incorporated into the circuit when the fan comes to a rest state.
- Axle: The axle or shaft is a metallic rod mostly made up of mild steel. It is connected from the ceiling to the fan housing. It stays at rest motion while bearings supporting the housing over it rotates. It also has an arrangement for the transfer of current to the stator windings.
